When you come to Summerfest this weekend stop by and visit Chris. He is raising money for WNYHeroes.org and “Pawsitive for Heroes”. He has some merchandise for sale and is also taking donations.

PRAY FOR GOOD WEATHER ... HANG YOUR ROSARY! The tents are going up and the games are being prepped. Over 250 theme baskets are waiting to get new homes with you. Roast Beef, BBQ Chicken and Pork, and Polish Platter dinners are on the way. Raffle tickets are in the bin. Tiger's Den is chopping peppers and onions. The toolchest is filled with bottles of booze. The bands are warming up and the beer is chilling. Only one more thing needs to be done. HANG THE ROSARIES. A wedding tradition is to pray the rosary and hang it on a bush hoping to ensure good weather for the celebration. Good weather is also critical for the success of a Summerfest. We need everyone to pray the rosary this week and then hang it on a bush. Don't get us wrong ... Summerfest is going on through rain or shine. We just know things will be a little more enjoyable if you can leave your umbrella at home. Help us and yourself at the same time. Say some prayers ... and hang a rosary on a bush before the weekend. Can you guess how many theme baskets we’ll have for you to win at Summerfest this year? Don’t stop at 250 ... GO HIGHER! Our Theme Basket Chairperson tells me that we’ll have OVER 250 theme baskets ready for their lucky winners this year. There is not enough space here but we can tell you that the prizes are amazing as always. Come see for yourself! “Do I have to be present to win a basket?” Absolutely not. When you purchase your ticket sheets we’ll ask for your name and phone number. We’ll call each basket winner and give you a convenient time to pick up your prize. Our Theme Tray room will be located in our Parish Hall right on the grounds at Summerfest. We’ll be open every day during normal Summerfest hours. Come enjoy a dinner in the Hall ... buy your theme tray tickets ... and stop by the beer tent for a nightcap and listen to the music. Fantastic!

POLKA MASS at 12 Noon on Sunday, Aug. 4 at 14 Holy Helpers Church The Buffalo Touch polka band will accompany Fr. David Bellittiere during the celebration of the Mass at Noon on Sunday, Aug. 4 in 14 Holy Helpers Church. While respecting the tradition of the Catholic Mass, the band will introduce Polish style polka music into the celebration. The Buffalo Touch has received three Grammy nominations for "Best Polka Album" and were the sole representatives of Western New York for the 45th, 46th and 51st annual GRAMMY AWARDS. Come here them at our SUNDAY Aug. 4 Noon Mass. All are welcome to attend Mass. After our Polka Mass, The Buffalo Touch will be playing in the Beer Tent from 1:00 - 5:00 PM

On Friday Aug. 2 at the 14HH Summerfest we'll be serving Roast Beef dinners in our Parish Hall. You'll get a GENEROUS serving of tender roast beef served on either bread or a roll (a limited number of weck rolls will be available ). Top that beef with our home made beef gravy and you'll think that you've gone to beef heaven. Mashed Potatoes and a chef salad are added to make it a meal. Roast beef on a roll (weck or not) or on bread ... gravy or no gravy ... have it the way you want it. To celebrate the opening night of Summerfest dinners, every Roast Beef Dinner sold includes one drink at our Hall Bar .... a cold beer, a can of pop, or a bottle of water. Your choice. That’s a great way to start the weekend! Roast Beef dinners will be available from 5:00 - 8:00 PM ... and the cost if you buy at the door is only $11.00. We confess ... to PRIDE. We know that we have the biggest Theme Basket raffle of any parish in WNY. Over 250 baskets, high quality prizes ... is it wrong to say so? We know that our Summerfest dinners are the best in WNY. People offer to buy our homemade roast beef gravy by the quart ... award winning BBQ ... and those Polish Platter dinners --- we must be in heaven. But is it wrong to say so? 4 days of the best bands in WNY for your entertainment. Something for everyone. No other parish in WNY puts a Grammy award winning band under their tent. NERDS too ... how's that for diversity? Yeah we're proud ... but is it wrong to say so? Which other parish in WNY offers a table to promote our Catholic faith like we do at a summerfest lawn fete? We know that our people are not perfect ... far from it ... you can read about that in the paper. But don't you ever come to our town and knock our faith without listening to our side. Stop by our Catholic table. WE BELIEVE and we're proud to say so ... is that wrong? A Meat Raffle on Thursday to fill your freezers or your summer grills. Steaks, ribs, chops ...
